In this episode:
I announce the winner of the Anniversary Giveaway. Congratulations Ozemutha, send me your address by rav or IG PM or email me at happyspiderknitsATgmailDOTcom so I can get your prize in the mail. 🙂
I answer a question from the ravelry thread on how I organise my stash. See also Episode 2 for more info about the stash.
I talk about my current burn for lace and the Sweet Dreams shawlette I am knitting from the Boo Knits In Love Collection. I am knitting in Madtosh Merino Light in La Vie en Rose. I do not have beads, and would love to know where my listeners buy theirs!
I talk about my super fun quilt project of the week: the Constructivist quilt from Little Bits Quilting Bee by Kathreen Ricketson. (Pro tip: you NEED this book).
I also discuss the skirt I’m making from fabric from my grandmother’s stash. (Seen here without zip, so pinned to front of dress form lining hanging out underneath and knitting needles in pocket to point out existence of pocket).
It feels like a parody of Heidi (or a “chara-couture” as my husband put it). Down with false pockets! Pockets for all!

Episode 34 is here and here.
My beautiful Majacraft Aura arrived!
As predicted, a steep learning curve, but she’s playing/plying nicely now. After a few different fibre types, I moved onto my second Wren and Ollie gradient bump and it’s chugging along nicely.
I knit a Kate Davies Sheepheid hat from a kit Sophie sent me. Such fun!
My rainbow cowl is in its third evolution and, while pretty, is annoying me.
I’ve started a Harvest Cardigan (tincanknits pattern) from Cleckheaton Country Silk 8ply. Pictured here inside my almost-complete Noodlehead divided basket.
I made the decision to take my Modern Medallion Quilt to Gemma Jackson of Pretty Bobbins Quilting for custom quilting. the grey/rainbow quilt is the one I lost my mind over – 50 Shades AKA Dance the Night Away.
I started quilting my Lucky/Unlucky Quilt. I am feeling more in control with this one now – it will soon be done!
I attended the Canberra Craft and Quilt Show and lost my mind over the pretty quilts! (top to bottom: Fat Bottom Girls by Angie Wilson, Happy Herringbone and Finding Formation by KraftyKuka)

Just a mini episode to talk about the fun I’m having with the Modern Medallion Quilt by Crystal McGann of twolittleaussiebirds.com. Episode 30a is here and here. More info on the quilt-along here.
The pattern was a gift from a friend and I didn’t think I was quite up to it… but I’m pretty susceptible to pretty pictures and I caved in. I am having a lovely time and learning a heap!
Enough talk, photos!

ETA: You can, of course, find Gnomeangel here. Her store is responsible for much of the fabric I’m using in this quilt. She’s also doing super cute bundles for fussy cutters right now… you know, in case you needed any enabling 😉
